Imprecise Cartography. Territories (2015-17)
In order to discover the American Chaco, we have to destroy its conventional image. We have to highlight the realities that it conceals. Therefore, the imprecise cartography that I propose is a path made of images, ideas and words of the very people who make those territories. The power of the look, the intimacy of the human contact and the authenticity of the words are claimed in sharp contrast with the coldness of the data that govern the bureaucratic world. It is an alternative typology of three territories identified by means of meeting and listening to the local people themselves. These are: i) territories in constant resistance ii) latent territories iii) territories in reconstruction This is an installation composed by three short videos. |
